Meaningful jewellery from ethical brand Atlas Accessories
I take a closer look at this stand out luxury accessories brand, their product, ethos and charitable projects.
I was recently fortunate enough to be sent a gifted product hand crafted by London based accessories brand, Atlas Accessories. I am regularly offered free or discounted products, however I have made it a self imposed rule only to promote and share information on products that I would both wear and be prepared to purchase myself.
The company source unusual combinations of gemstones, beads, precious metals and leathers rich in meaning and symbolism. Sustainability is a major consideration, and as such only organic and natural materials are used, along with a complete absence of adhesives. So confident in the durability of their jewellery, Atlas offer a 3 year guarantee on all products, and repairs provided after that period for a nominal fee plus shipping costs.

Packaging is important to me, in terms of there not being so much of it that it induces feelings of guilt and anger, but that in and of itself it adds to the excitement and experience of receiving and opening the package. Atlas ticks both boxes (pardon the pun); finding a pleasingly textured, branded box within outer cardboard packaging. Also included was a delightful hand written message from the founder and designer, and a soft polishing cloth to use to clean the bracelet.

In general I do not wear a lot of jewellery; I wear a watch, wedding ring, and on occasion an unfussy, minimalist bracelet. With this in mind the piece I chose is a simple but beautiful bracelet crafted from vintage black 'snake vertebrae' beads with a recycled sterling silver clasp. The piece is taken from the company's Accent range and the snake beads were chosen (other than for their pleasing aesthetics) in order to represent the power of a transition, or re-birth. I'll be honest, not necessarily being the most spiritual of beings I chose it for the way it looks in that it is simple but unusual at the same time, however I like the fact there is symbolism and meaning attached to the choice of materials.
The bracelet itself feels incredibly durable and I love the look and feel of it on my wrist, both on its own and in accompaniment of a watch. The silver clasp (and gold is available too) adds a restrained touch of class and luxury.

An added bonus for purchasing one of Atlas' products is that you will be provided the opportunity to choose to either plant a tree, conserve critical environments or rescue and train dogs for conservation field work, with the company pledging to donate 5% of its gross revenue to their chosen charity partners. At the present time they are partnered with the World Land Trust and Working Dogs for Conservation.
So in summary, with any purchase you will be acquiring a high quality handcrafted piece of meaningful jewellery, along with helping to provide funding to very worthy causes at the heart of conservation and sustainability. These are the reasons I am proud to be an affiiate partner to the brand.
I have only covered a relatively small aspect of the story of this brand and there is a good deal more information, as well as their range of wristwear and necklaces displayed on their website. I would encourage you to check it out using my affiliate link: http://lddy.no/pfzc
Many thanks and keep well
